Dozens of model numbers of B-Safe 35, BOB B-Safe 35, and 35 Elite infant seats and infant car seats are affected by the recall, for which a repair kit is being made available.
Britax maintains that affected car seats remain safe in a crash, and that the term “recall” only applies to the chest clip. An article and video on the Britax website explain how to switch out the existing clip with the replacement.

This recall is being conducted in coordination with various regulatory agencies, including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
